This page explains how to ask Road Rage Performance Ltd to delete your Haldex.Flash account and the personal data held with it. You can ask by email, and you do not need the app installed.
Deletion cannot be undone. Before you ask, know what goes with the account:
- You lose every licence on the account. A licence already assigned to a vehicle stays with that vehicle's VIN: whoever owns the vehicle can claim it from the app with their own account, including you if you register again, but it is not refunded or reissued.
- Any vehicle still running a tuned calibration keeps it, but you will not be able to flash it back to stock.
- Unassigned licences are lost too, so ask for any refund you are due first.
How to request deletion
- Email info@roadrageperformance.co.uk from the email address on your account, with the subject "Delete my Haldex.Flash account". Writing from that address is how we know the request is yours.
- Say that you want the account deleted. You do not have to give a reason. We may ask you to confirm your identity before we go ahead.
- We delete the account within 30 days of your request.
If you have the app installed you can do this yourself instead: open Settings and choose Delete Account. In the app it takes effect straight away.
Signing out, or removing the app from your phone, does not delete your account.
What is deleted
When an account is deleted we erase:
- your name and email address;
- your password and every sign-in token, so the account is signed out everywhere and can no longer be used;
- the link between your account and your dealer, if it had one;
- the support reports you sent from the app, including their diagnostic logs.
You can register again with the same email address, but a new account starts empty. Nothing from the deleted account carries over to it by itself. If you still own a vehicle that was licensed under the old account, the app will offer to claim that licence into the new one when it next connects to the car.
What is kept, and for how long
Some records have to outlive the account. They are kept only for the periods below.
- Licence and flash records. A licence assigned to a vehicle is kept against that vehicle's VIN, along with the control unit details and flash history recorded under it, for the life of the licence. The record stays with the VIN with no active account attached, so the vehicle remains licensed. Whoever owns the vehicle can claim the licence into their own account from the app; until someone does, nobody can manage it. It is not reissued or refunded.
- Order and payment records. Kept for 6 years after the end of the financial year of the purchase, as tax law requires, then deleted.
- Backups. Deleted data can remain in our backups for up to 30 days before it is overwritten.
- Server and monitoring logs. Kept for up to 90 days.
